Doctor Parikh's Education

Dr. Parikh’s medical background includes expertise in various specialties,
qualifying him to provide a wide range of interventional pain management
services. After receiving his medical degree and practicing orthopedics,
Dr. Parikh completed a surgical internship; spent two years involved in
spinal research at University of Southern California (USC) and completed
an anesthesiology residency at Columbia University. He was trained to
perform provocative intervertebral disc stimulation during a post-
doctoral fellowship in pain management at Thomas Jefferson Medical
College, in Philadelphia. From 1995 through 2001 he established, and directed
the Pain Management Center at The General Hospital Center at Passaic.
He also played a key role in the Neuroscience Steering Committee of the
Atlantic Healthcare System.
Dr. Parikh has special interest in the treatment of intractable pain conditions
using state-of-the-art technological advances and latest knowledge to interrupt
pain pathways. Dr. Parikh established his own Interventional pain practice,
and has been in private practice since September 2001.
