PERCUTANEOUS DISC DECOMPRESSION
NUCLEOPLASTY

Percutaneous disc decompression is one of the newer techniques being used by physicians and healthcare centers for herniated discs.  This procedure does not require any open surgeries and is effective in treating contained herniated discs. Nucleoplasty is also known as percutaneous discectomy. It is recommended by specialists to people suffering from chronic back pain that is 6 months or older, in most cases. This procedure aims to treat the lower back and leg pain of a person by removing the tissue within herniated disc.

Nucleoplasty, a minimally invasive procedure with effective and lasting results. With the help of a fluoroscope, our experts will inject a needle in the herniated disc and carefully remove the disc material that is causing the pain. You will be given a sedative and a local anesthesia to keep you relaxed during the treatment.

You can leave the clinic within 30 minutes after the operation. Our experts will also provide you with a pain diary in which you can record your medical condition effectively. Physical therapy is usually started after 6 weeks of decompression.
