The cervical area of the spine is the topmost area that is situated in the neck and stretches down to the upper back. Cervical radiculopathy therefore is a pain that occurs in this area of the spinal cord.

The pain from cervical radiculopathy may start from the neck spread on the shoulder down the arm, forearm and fingers, in the area of the cervical nerves. Pain might be sharp or it may get sore after pressure is exerted or the neck is moved abruptly.

There are several ways to better the symptoms, such as exercises stretching the painful arm’s shoulder while placing your hand on your neck, medications and cervical epidural cortisone injection.

Some food types that include vitamin D and calcium, can also help in prolonging cervical spine health. Regular intake of pure milk is prescribed for better bone health.
